MBBS admission in India
MBBS admission in India happens only through NEET-UG and official counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee fills all-India quota, deemed and central university seats; each state authority fills state quota and private college seats. SG Global Education in Patna helps you choose the right counselling, order your choices and prepare documents.

How the rounds work
- Register separately on the MCC portal and on each state portal you are eligible for.
- Pay the registration fee and the refundable security deposit asked for by that authority.
- Fill and lock your choices. The system allots the highest choice your rank can get.
- Report to the allotted college with original documents, or opt to upgrade where the rules allow.
- Repeat for later rounds. The stray vacancy round has stricter exit rules, and leaving a seat late can cost the deposit and bar you from later rounds.
Exit and upgrade rules change between rounds and between authorities. Read the current information bulletin before each round, not last year's.
What we do for an MBBS aspirant
- Check eligibility for each quota, including Bihar state quota, minority and NRI categories.
- Compare colleges on published tuition fee, hostel fee, bond and service conditions.
- Prepare a choice list in an order that protects your best realistic option.
- Check documents against the prospectus before verification day.
- Explain what resigning, upgrading or holding a seat will cost in each round.
We also guide Bihar students applying in other states where private college seats are open to outside candidates, and those considering MBBS abroad.

Questions people ask us
Is direct MBBS admission through management quota possible in Bihar?
Management quota seats exist in private medical colleges, but they are not filled directly by the college. In Bihar they are allotted through BCECEB's UGMAC counselling from the NEET-UG merit list. You must be NEET qualified, registered for counselling and allotted the seat.
What NEET score is needed for a government MBBS seat in Bihar?
It changes every year with the paper, the number of seats and your category, so last year's closing rank is only a rough guide. Call us with your rank and category and we will compare it against the previous rounds' closing ranks published by BCECEB and MCC.
Who can apply under the NRI quota?
NRI quota seats are for candidates who meet the NRI or NRI-sponsored definition in the prospectus of the counselling authority, supported by embassy, passport and relationship documents. The candidate must still qualify NEET-UG. The definition differs between MCC and states, so we check it against the current prospectus.
Can a Bihar student get an MBBS seat in another state?
Yes, through the 15% all-India quota and deemed universities via MCC, and in several states through private college management or NRI seats open to candidates from outside the state. State quota seats in government colleges are generally reserved for that state's own residents.
How much does MBBS cost in a private medical college?
Fees are fixed college by college, usually by a state fee committee, and published in the seat matrix or fee notice for the year. They vary widely between states and between quota types. We work only from the published fee notice and advise you to pay only into the official account of the counselling authority or college.
