BHMS admission guidance
BHMS is a 5.5-year homoeopathy degree, including a one-year internship, regulated by the National Commission for Homoeopathy. Admission needs a NEET-UG qualification. Seats are filled by AACCC for the all-India quota and by BCECEB through UGMAC (Ayush) in Bihar. SG Global Education guides you through registration and choices.

Eligibility for BHMS
- Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
- Minimum age of 17 by 31 December of the admission year.
- A NEET-UG qualification for the year.
How BHMS seats are filled
BHMS shares its counselling with BAMS and BUMS. AACCC conducts the all-India rounds. In Bihar, BCECEB conducts UGMAC (Ayush) for government and private homoeopathic colleges; the 2026-27 notice was issued on 18 September 2026 with registration from 21 September. One registration covers all three Ayush courses, and you rank colleges and courses in a single list.
Bihar has a government homoeopathic college, R.B.T.S. Government Homoeopathic Medical College in Muzaffarpur, and a number of private homoeopathic colleges. A college can admit only if the National Commission for Homoeopathy has permitted it for that session.
No seat exists outside counselling. Management quota and NRI quota seats are also filled from the NEET-UG merit list by the counselling authority. If anyone offers you a seat for cash without counselling, walk away, and report it to the National Consumer Helpline on 1915.
What we do for a BHMS aspirant
- Check the college's permission status for this session.
- Help you decide between BHMS, BAMS and BUMS at your rank.
- Prepare the choice list and the documents for verification.
- Explain deposits and the cost of leaving a seat in each round.

Questions people ask us
Is NEET compulsory for BHMS?
Yes. BHMS admission in all government and private colleges is through NEET-UG and counselling by AACCC or the state authority.
Which body regulates BHMS?
The National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), set up under the National Commission for Homoeopathy Act, 2020.
Is BHMS counselling in Bihar separate from BAMS?
No. BCECEB runs one UGMAC (Ayush) counselling for BAMS, BHMS and BUMS. You register once and list your preferred courses and colleges together.
